Picking locks in Hogwarts Legacy quickly becomes monotonous. In our guide we show you two ways to skip the mini-game.
Hogwarts Legacy has many strengths – an exciting story, lots of great details for Harry Potter fans and an open world with countless things to do.
One of these activities, however, is not very popular with many players: Picking locks with the Alohomora spell. Since many doors in Hogwarts and its surroundings are locked, you are forced to play the same mini-game over and over again.
Though the turning of the gears is quite simple, the same procedure gets a bit boring in the long run, as the locks don’t get any more difficult even on higher levels. In our short guide, we show you two ways how you can skip Alohomora.
Skip Alohomora minigame – this is how to do it
Use History Mode
As you know, there are four different difficulty levels in Hogwarts Legacy. If you set it to the easiest difficulty level, History, you will no longer have to complete the Alohomora mini-game yourself.
You can simply press the F key on your keyboard to skip the entire procedure. Then the lock will immediately fall off the door or crate you’re aiming for – done!
Even easier with small mod
If you’re not playing on the easiest difficulty level and don’t feel like constantly switching back and forth because of the minigame, there’s an even easier solution to get rid of the annoying Alohomora game.
With the Skip Alohomora Minigame mod, you only have to activate a locked door or crate by pressing the F key to open it immediately. How this looks in the game is shown in a video by the modder:
How to install the mod
