After XDefiant being ridiculed by many when it was announced, Ubisoft’s Free2Play shooter surprised many players in closed beta tests. The game, which is sometimes referred to as the Call-of-Duty-Killer now invites you to play again before its release in the summer. You can find all the important information about the open beta here.

When will the Open Beta run?

  • Begin of the Beta: 21 June 2023, 19:00 (20 June for Closed Beta participants).
  • End of Beta: June 24, 2023, 08:00 a.m.

The beta is available worldwide for the PC, Xbox Series X/S and Playstation 5.

What went down in the closed beta, Ubisoft recently showed in the trailer:

Do I need a code?

No, you don’t need a code because this is an open beta phase for all interested players. To participate, all you have to do is register (on the official website). To do so, click on Register to Play, select the platform of your choice, and then log in with your Ubisoft account.

How do I download the game?

Once you have signed in, the game should appear in the Ubisoft Connect Launcher or on your console. There you can download it as soon as the beta or a preload is available. The exact download size is not yet known, but previous versions required about 58 gigabytes of storage space.

What’s in the beta?

Ubisoft itself is holding back on more detailed information so far, but we assume that the same content will be available as in the closed beta:

  • 14 maps, which will also be available for the release.
  • Four factions, you will be able to unlock a fifth at release.
  • 24 weapons with a total of 44 attachments, as well as 5 types of grenades.
  • Multiple game modes, including classics like Hardpoint and Domination
