Since patch 1.1 was released, Last Epoch has been experiencing unprecedented heights on Steam. And not without reason

Last Epochcould hardly have chosen a better time for its release. In February 2024, most action role-playing game fans were still complaining about the meagre season updates for Diablo 4 – and Last Epoch promptly blossomed into a fully-fledged competitor that outstripped Blizzard in many respects

The Steam player numbers exploded, with more than 250,000 players throwing themselves into the role-playing battle at the same time. Impressive numbers for the debut work of the small indie studio Eleventh Hour Games.

However, the storm of success died down. Since May 2024, Last Epoch has barely made it to 5,000 active users at the same time – until now! With the big first update 1.1, the devs delivered heaps of new content, which in turn ensured an immense return of players. Over 71,000 people were active at the same time at the start of the week, and the feedback was overwhelmingly positive

So let’s take a look at what’s been happening.

What does Update 1.1 bring?
