In Elden Ring, a secret door causes open mouths and disbelief

In Elden Ring, there are walls that immediately take more than one hit to make them disappear.

Those who have played a Fromsoftware title are probably familiar with the wall illusions, which you have to hit once with your sword to clear. Or like in Dark Souls 2, when fans maltreated the X button while running at every possible wall. Fans have now found another way for some walls to disappear in Elden Ring.

Not one, not two, but 50 blows

The Reddit user (Teristam) has made an incredible discovery for Souls fans. In the legacy dungeon House Volcano, there is a hidden secret path that can be opened by inflicting damage on a wall. The big difference to the already known secret passages, however, is that you need 50 blows to raze this wall to the ground.

The user (SpytheSnail)  has even already found (another wall) under the post, which also disappears with several hits and reveals a room in which a painting of Rya in her snake form is depicted. This suggests that this is not an isolated incident and that there may be some of these walls hidden in the world of Elden Ring.

Why the player even had the idea to bang on the wall 50 times is another story. One thing is certain, however: if it’s not a bug, a veritable scavenger hunt could start in which droves of Elden Ring players, lost in thought, beat up every wall that looks even remotely suspicious.

Even the well-known Soulslike Youtuber Iron Pineapple is completely out of his mind and has shared the clip on Twitter:

If you are still busy trying to stop the creatures in Elden Ring, you might find our guide overview helpful. If, on the other hand, you haven’t dared to play Fromsoftware’s latest title yet, our detailed GlobalESportNews review might convince you to take the plunge:

The choice of weapons changes things

In a self-test we found out that you don’t need 50 strikes with every weapon. With a greatsword, the wall disappeared after about ten hits. Moreover, the passage does not stay open. The wall comes back after you have visited another place of grace. The first illusion wall does not reveal any special shortcut either, which makes the whole thing even stranger.

If you have also stumbled across these walls or even found more, write it in the comments! Who knows what other secrets are hiding in the world of Elden Ring.
