After The Last of Us, Intergalactic is next: a sci-fi action adventure that aims to build on the proven strengths of the acclaimed studio.

The big finale at the Game Awards 2024 belonged to Naughty Dog: The acclaimed studio behind hit series like The Last of Us and Uncharted is venturing into completely new territory with its next project.

Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet takes you on a cosmic sci-fi journey full of secrets. The game has been in development since 2020 and Naughty Dog promises one of the most ambitious stories and the most profound gameplay in the studio’s history

A new heroine on a lost world

The game centers on the heroine Jordan A. Mun, a tough bounty hunter who finds herself stranded on the planet Sempiria

This world has been cut off from the outside world for hundreds of years – and everyone who has tried to uncover its secret has disappeared without a trace. Now it is up to you to use Jordan’s skills and ingenuity to be the first person in over 600 years to leave the planet alive again.

The studio is keeping quiet about further plot details, but promises an emotional and character-driven story that seamlessly continues Naughty Dog’s tradition. So you can look forward to an epic journey that combines the best of previous games and perhaps even sets new standards.

The game stars Jordan, played by actress Tati Gabrielle (The 100, The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina) – get a first look at her in the announcement trailer above. Naughty Dog plans to reveal more of the cast in the future.

For the musical background, the studio has teamed up with none other than Trent Reznor (Nine Inch Nails) and Atticus Ross The Oscar-winning duo (The Social Network) is providing the game’s soundtrack and is known for its atmospheric, intense sounds.

It is not yet clear when exactly the game will be released, but Naughty Dog promises that they are working hard to give you more insights soon.

However, there is some bad news for PC gamers: just like Naughty Dog’s previous titles, Intergalactic will initially be released exclusively for the PlayStation 5.
