The Youtube account of Esport giant TeamSoloMid was deleted after a hacker spread his crypto scam on the channel.
On 3 August, the Youtube channel of TSM, one of the largest Esports organisations in the world, was hacked. The hacker was streaming a podcast with UFC president Dana White, trying to grab cryptocurrencies from viewers.

Elon Musk and the Tesla Scam
Why the hacker streamed a podcast by Dana White is still somewhat unclear. One suspects that he wanted to use the good and trusted image of the UFC president to steal other people’s cryptocurrencies.
Last year, several major Twitter accounts were hacked, including the account of Tesla founder Elon Musk. There, the promise was posted that he would accept and double any amount of cryptocurrencies over the next half hour. The hacker used the exact same trick again this time, promising viewers a doubling of their crypto payment.
The irony behind it
For TSM, however, the incident still has a bitter taste. In June last year, the organisation concluded a mega deal with the crypto exchange FTX. For this, the esports giant received 210 million dollars and renamed itself TSM FTX. Thus, all teams competing for TSM FTX in tournaments were also branded accordingly.
It is ironic that TSM FTX has now been hacked by a scammer who is trying to extract cryptocurrencies from the pockets of their viewers.
TSM’s YouTube channel was unceremoniously terminated after the scam and has not been restored to this day. TSM has not yet made a statement on Twitter about this disaster. It is still unclear if and when the channel will be available again.
