The emotional rollercoaster continues for Titanfall fans. After a brief glimmer of hope, an insider has dashed hopes of an imminent release of part 3.
“Almost done,” claimed a leaker yesterday, April 9, about the development status of Titanfall 3 Fans of the series have long hoped for a sequel to the first-person shooter from developer Respawn Entertainment.
Just one day later, the damper comes: The well-known industry insider Jeff Grubb considers the latest claims of the leaker to be false.
What was the leak about?
Via X, formerly Twitter, shared the leaker Osvaldatore a whole series of claims about Titanfall 3. Among them was the alleged information that the game is almost finished. He believes he still knows the following details:

“I’m sorry, that’s not right”
In the podcast GameBreakingNews Giant BombJeff Grubb talks about the Osvaldatore leaks right at the beginning of the current episode. In his opinion, this is completely wrong, especially with regard to the claim that development is almost complete.
He is very certain that a small team under Titanfall 1 director Steve Fukuda has some kind of prototype with Titans, but he also explains: “Are they going to announce this in 2025 and release it in 2026? Absolutely not.”
Grubb also doesn’t believe that Titanfall 3 will be a game in Unreal Engine 5 with a single-player campaign and multiplayer and warns that fans shouldn’t have high hopes of hearing anything about a new game in the series anytime soon.
Neither the leaker Osvaldatore nor Jeff Grubb name the sources from which they obtain their information, and it is impossible to say for sure which of the two is right. Titanfall 3 has a long history of rumors and leaks, but so far, few of them have been 100 percent confirmed. You can find some articles on this topic in the box above.
