During QuakeCon, Bethesda not only announced but also released the extensive remaster of Quake II. From now on you can buy the cult-ego shooter.
After the leak from Dealabs followed yesterday the official confirmation as well as release of Quake II. The iconic shooter from 1997 has received some modern upgrades and can now be played solo or in multiplayer on PC, PlayStation, Xbox and Switch. Thanks to the Crossplay feature you can even play with each other across platforms. Those who sit together in Persona can make use of the Splitscreenfeature.
In addition to the base title, the new edition of Quake II also includes both expansions The Reckoning and Ground Zero These will provide you with 30 additional single player levels and 20 deathmatch maps. If you still haven’t had enough after that, you can check out the brand new expansion Call of the Machine from MachineGames. Here you can expect 28 campaign levels through space and time as well as a new deathmatch map.
Who plays Quake II on the PC, can not only play the modern version of the shooter. Thanks to a mod, you can even go back in time and play the game in its original version.
