A small update for the role-playing game is designed to fix bugs that appeared with patch 1.2. We have the patch notes.

Patch 1.2 for Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 was gigantic. At times too gigantic, as it turned out: the update not only brought hundreds of bug fixes, but also created a few new bugs of its own. These included problems with the main quest and the curious bug that you could no longer rent rooms in taverns without being rudely thrown out.

We list all the changes from the patch notes of hotfix 1.2.2 here.

Problems addressed by hotfix 1.2.2

Main Quest: If you looked for Billy the Goat in the “To the Underworld” mission but couldn’t find him, the good (well, okay) man will now reappear where he should be. No reloading the mission required.

Rent without getting kicked out: After the last big update, Heinrich was sometimes marked as a burglar if he was comfortably sitting in a rented room. Hotfix 1.2.2 now ensures law and order here!

Main menu without risk: The option to start a new game was moved in patch 1.2. This caused some inattentive players to overwrite their savegame – you had to make several clicks, but thanks to muscle memory, it probably happened to some anyway. Hotfix 1.2.2 now simply removes the “New Game” button from the pause menu.

A better permanent solution will follow in a later update. Until then, you can only start a new save game from the main menu.

There are also two small, platform-specific fixes:

  • On PC, an issue has been fixed where you could break the main menu by closing the barber shop window with the mouse.
  • There is also an improvement for the PlayStation 5 performance mode, artifacts should no longer occur.

Did patch 1.2 cause you more problems or more joy? And does hotfix 1.2.2 solve one (or more) bugs that have been frustrating you for the last few days? Feel free to let us know in the comments.

The next big patch could bring the hardcore mode that many have been eagerly awaiting. However, there is no release date for update 1.3 yet.
