The medieval saga of Heinrich continues, Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 has been revealed. The first gameplay has the internet excited, but of course we want to hear what you think too

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 will be released in 2024 and will be even bigger and more beautiful than its much-loved predecessor. This was announced by the developers at Warhorse on April 18, after they had already fueled the rumor mill themselves

The reveal and first trailer are generating a lot of enthusiasm. We’re collecting people’s reactions – and of course we want to hear what you think too, so we’ve attached a small poll at the bottom of this post. Please vote diligently in it:

Lots of cheers and a little skepticism

At RedditX (formerly Twitter) and Co. many fans are delighted that a new, really big knight simulation is finally coming soon: With single player, story focus, lots of decision-making options and numerous realistically simulated non-player characters to bring the world to life.

The people involved in the game are also enthusiastic, such as Hans Capon’s voice actor:

Some people are worried about how much the game will demand of their computer. Reddit user Iggy_Slayer writes for example:

After Dragon’s Dogma 2 and now this, I expect CPUs to go on strike at the end of the year due to brutal working conditions.

In addition, there are different reactions to the revelation of the sheer size of Kingdom Come 2. While some are happy about an even larger and more complex medieval world, others would rather have smaller games. For example, Reddit user McFistPunch, who starts a discussion about it with this post:

Why does every game have to be huge? The first game took me about 70 hours and it felt like more than enough. I don’t think you have to make games as big as you can

Write us in the comments to tell us what you like so far, which new features you’re particularly excited about and where you’re perhaps still skeptical. We look forward to hearing your views.

Our editorial director Kevin shares the enthusiasm of many medieval fans, having already seen the game before its reveal and even had the chance to play it himself. He can’t talk about the gameplay in detail yet, but he can talk about everything else you need to know about Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2.
