Plural or no plural – that is the question here! Last year, Bloober Team announced Layers of Fears – the culmination of the series that would tie together the storylines of Parts 1 and 2. In a freshly released trailer, the developer narrowed down the release date – and promptly changed the name. The summary of the series now bears the name Layers of Fear (2023).
Bloober Team has made a name for itself over the years with the eerie horror series Layers of Fear. This is characterised above all by its atmospheric horror and the examination of the madness slumbering in a person. In June, the Polish developer studio is putting a crowning conclusion to this series.
Layers of Fear (2023) contains the first and second parts of the series as well as the DLC Inheritance and the new DLC The Final Note, which tells the story of the first part from the mother”s point of view. Furthermore, the edition contains the newest chapter The Writer, which is supposed to bring all the storylines together.
Layers of Fear (2023) is said to seamlessly link all the chapters of the series, telling the story of three artists (the painter, the actor and the writer) whose passion has turned into a dark obsession. Using Unreal Engine 5, ray tracing, HDR, 4K and the Lumen system, you can experience this horror series in unprecedented beauty.
In addition, new mechanics await you in this edition, which should also ensure that events are linked together impeccably. Rounding out this veteran yet new horror experience are puzzles, tense exploration and immersive storytelling.
The horror game is scheduled for release on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
