Building a tranquil village is a quiet and relaxing affair? A misconception, as Medieval Frontiers would like to prove to you

Settlement building under time pressure

Medieval Frontiers mixes several genres. On the one hand, you have to run through the medieval environment in the usual survivalstyle in the first-person perspective and collect all kinds of resources to prepare for the winter.

After that comes thebuilding part You construct buildings, attract new workers and inhabitants and thus obtain more complex resources. And last but not least, the gameplay loop is garnished with a pinch of life simulation

Because the NPCs in your settlement should be unique This means that each of them has their own characteristics, skills and needs that need to be fulfilled. You can also improve the skills of the inhabitants. Jakob Braun, the CEO of Active Fungus, has apparently taken a particular liking to the individual NPCs:

I’ve grown very fond of our villagers. They all have their quirks and strengths. When they work well together and bring the village to life, it’s a special sense of achievement.

Hunger, deadly cold, wild animals and cruel bandits – the list of challenges is long, will you master them?
