A video by modder Digital Dreams shows in an impressive way what ray tracing and 8K can still get out of the 7-year-old Lord of the Rings game.
The Lord of the Rings game Middle-earth: Mordor’s Shadow shone when it was released in 2014 with a beautiful open world and at least decent graphics, but the game is now seven years old. It’s hard to imagine that it will make our jaws drop once again with reshade, ray tracing and 8K graphics.
The well-known modder Digital Dreams now presents Mordor’s Shadow in its latest video in high-end graphics and using the best hardware.
Middle-earth in high-end graphics
This impressive video shows nine minutes of gameplay scenes from the open world, using ultra graphics settings, a specially created reshade and 8K resolution. But see for yourself! Remember to select the appropriate resolution when playing.
Not surprisingly, it requires the crème de la crème of hardware. The following components were used for the video:
– Mainboard: Asus Prime x470-Pro
– CPU: Ryzen 9 3900x
– RAM: Corsair Vengeance 32Gb
– GPU: ASUS TUF RTX 3090
– SSD: Crucial mx500 2TB
The Reshade can be found by supporters of Digital Dreams on his Patreon account. In the past, the modder has helped Cyberpunk 2077, Witcher 3 and Skyrim, among others, to achieve magnificent high-end graphics.
Mordor’s Shadow without graphics cure
By the way, the MMORPG classic The Lord of the Rings: Online could also soon shine in new visuals, as the developers are planning a graphics update for the launch of the new Amazon series:
