The Steam Summer Sale 2022 is over, but of course Valve continues with exciting discount promotions: From 13 July, the well-known Midweek Madness will be running again. We have rummaged through the offers for you and picked out the best ones. And GOG also has some interesting sales going on right now, especially if you’re really into nostalgia.

Highlight of the week: Astroneer
(Genre: Space Sandbox – Developer: System Era Softworks – Release: 16. December 2016 – Platform: Steam – Price: 14 Euro (reduced by 50 percent) – Offer valid until: 18 July 2022)
Astroneer puts you in a thickly padded spacesuit, gives you a loving shove out the door and then gives you plenty of creative freedom. In this colourful sandbox, you explore completely different planets, from ice blocks to bright pink deserts. You don’t even have to stay on the surface, because your surroundings can be easily deformed.
Build a skyscraper-high bridge? Drill a tunnel from one base to the next? No problem, alone or in co-op with up to three other players you can build bizarre structures just as your astronaut heart desires. Or you can blow up an entire planet (and the game along with it). Sandbox is writ large here.

- Arma 3: Older but still very popular military sandbox, with a clear focus on realism. Has been expanded with countless content over the years and has an active, incredibly creative modding community (7 Euro, reduced by 75 percent).
- Mafia: Definitive Edition & Mafia Trilogy: Gripping gangster saga that takes you to the underworld of the 1930s. Has been spruced up with new graphics and new technology. Both the individual parts and the complete package are currently on sale (Trilogy 24 Euro, 60 percent off)
- Scum: Survival of the toughest kind. You fight for survival for a fictional TV show, face other games in PvP and craft what you need to win. It’s still Early Access, but gets regular updates. (18 Euro, 40 percent off)
- Syberia: The World Before: New part of the iconic adventure series, but this time with modern graphics and two parallel time strands. Of course, there’s plenty of steampunk influence again. (25 Euro, reduced by 38 percent)
- Road 96: A must for story fans. You venture on an emotional road trip that is different every time. Reminiscent of Firewatch and Life is Strange. (10 Euro, reduced by 50 percent)
- Warhammer: Vermintide 2: Massive action, gritty fantasy universe, first-person perspective – Vermintide 2 is for the hautrauf fans among you. It did pretty well in our list of the best Warhammer games. (6 Euro, reduced by 80 percent)
- Before We Leave: Cosy and harmonious building game for pacifists. You rebuild a lost civilisation, you don’t have to fear war – at most space whales. (6 Euro, reduced by 65 percent)
- Tyranny: Maurice would strongly recommend this role-playing game. In it, you finally get to be a really evil henchman – or overthrow the “invincible” tyrant and swing yourself onto his throne. (7,50 Euro, reduced by 75 percent)
Exciting offers at GOG

- Call of Juarez: Gunslinger: Fantastic little western shooter in which you also experience a really cool story. Currently also on sale at Steam. (3 Euro, reduced by 74 percent)
- Deus Ex: All parts of the dystopian cyberpunk series are on sale. If you are looking for a gripping story and have missed Deus Ex so far, give it a chance. (between 1 and 4,50 Euro, each reduced by around 80 percent)
