The central element for mods in Monster Hunter Wilds is the REFramework
This is a collection of scripts that can be activated and deactivated at the push of a button during gameplay.
The REFramework comes with a number of scripts and is therefore highly recommended. Many of the mods in this article also require the REFramework to be installed. To do this, proceed as follows:
- Download the REFramework on Nexusmods.
- Open the ZIP archive and extract the file it contains,
dinput8.dll
, to your Monster Hunter Wilds installation directory. By default, this can be found at the following path: SteamsteamappscommonMonsterHunterWilds
- Start the game briefly so that the REFramework creates the folder
reframework
and two important subfolders in the installation directory: In the folderautorun
, you will in future put all mods based on a script. In the folderplugins
, on the other hand, you can conveniently move all files with a.dll extension.
- That’s it!;nbsp; You are ready to install more mods. You can easily show or hide the REFramework menu in-game by pressing the Insert key.
How do I uninstall the REFramework?
It’s easy. Just delete the following files and folders in your Monster Hunter Wilds installation directory:
- dinput8.dll (file)
- reframework (folder)
- re2_fw_config (file)
- re2_framework_log (file)
- reframework_crash (file)
