Monster Hunter Wilds will soon get its first content update. We’ll find out more about it in today’s stream.
Monster Hunter Wilds was released almost a month ago and still captivates hundreds of thousands of players every day. Since then, many of you have already reached the high rank, may no longer die on every hunt against the hardened Gore Magala, and have already farmed your dream armor.
Slowly but surely, more and more hunters are starting to wish for new content. And that should be coming soon. On March 25 at 3 p.m. German time, a Monster Hunter showcase took place on the official Capcom Twitch channel There we finally got new information about the title update 1. We have summarized everything important.
This is coming with title update 1
A few important details have already been revealed. We have summarized them for you:
- Release: Title Update 1 will be released on Friday, April 4, 2025
- New Monster: You may know the Leviathan Mizutsune from Monster Hunter Generations or Monster Hunter Rise. Now the wyvern is coming to Wilds and will terrorize you with its bubbles. You can face it from Hunter Rank 21.
- New location:The Great Place is a kind of multiplayer hub where you can play the new mini-game Barrel Bowling and win prizes. You can also listen to the Diva concert there in the evening. You can enter the site from rank 16. Once you have entered it once, the group management from your base camp will switch to there.
- Story-Endboss Zoh Shia comes back: From hunter rank 50, you can fight Zog Shia again. You can do this by entering it as a quest via the map. Of course, you will also receive a nice armor if you succeed.
- Battle-hardened Rey Dau: Not content with being beaten by a hardened Arkveld? With Title Update 1, the first battle-hardened monster is coming to the game in the form of Rey Dau. It’s stronger than a hardened one, but it’ll also give you new armor. You can hunt it from level 50. Plus, it’s only in the game for a limited time.
- Arenaquests: With a new quest type, speedruns are coming to the game, so to speak. Here you can compete against others via a ranking to see how fast you are at hunting monsters. You can either play in a 2-player co-op with fixed equipment or as a free challenge with 4 people without gear restrictions. The whole thing is also supposed to come as a limited-time quest.
- Seasonal Events: The First of Harmony: Blossom Dance is the first seasonal event, fitting for spring. Limited cosmetic items such as armor, gestures, and more await you here. You should also get the chance to replay quests that have already expired.
- Event quests: Further limited-time event quests are planned. These will also offer cosmetic armor pieces, ingredients, and more.
- Minor adjustments:In addition to some paid content such as the Cosmetics DLC Pack 1, there will also be other free content available for download. This includes some gestures and a new outfit for Alma.
You can also watch the whole showcase on the official YouTube channel.
This is how the community reacted to the title update
New content is always exciting. In addition to the obvious highlights such as the new monster, the community was also thrilled to see the return of a beloved scarf as a cosmetic item:

In summer comes TU2, where a long-awaited monster re-emerges…
It also seems that the sorely missed cat chefs are finally back in the new multiplayer hub, swinging their frying pans again:
But: The community’s wishlist is long and hopes for more content – big and small – are still there even after the announcement. Some of these have not been mentioned so far:
- Transmog for weapons: Let’s face it. The Artian weapons may be powerful, but they’re not exactly pretty. That’s why many players would like to see a transmog system like the one for armor. In Monster Hunter jargon, this is called a layered weapon.
- Fixes for the PC version: Performance issues and disconnections are still a pain point – especially if you play with the high-resolution texture pack. Here, too, people want a fix
