YouTuber receives Switch 2 model from case manufacturer and is impressed by the quality.
While Nintendo continues to keep a low profile, the number of Switch 2 leaks is increasing with each passing week. Two days ago, there was a major leak that revealed a lot of information about the new Switch 2 console to the public.
Yesterday, the Switch 2 leaks reached a new level.
That’s what happened: The YouTuber NerdNest, known for his gaming analysis, presented a dummy model of the Switch 2 with all the details.
NerdNest claims to have received the model from Ivoler. Ivoler is a company that manufactures and sells accessories for consoles, smartphones, and computers.
Until he received the device, the YouTuber assumed he would receive a simple plastic model.
Good to know: Mock-ups are used so that accessory manufacturers can start designing and producing them before a device is released.
When he opened the package, the YouTuber was speechless. It was only then that he realized that the Switch 2 model he had received was much more interesting than he had first expected.
Instead of a simple plastic model, the package contained a detailed model of the Switch 2 from Nintendo.
According to the YouTuber, the model is not just made of plastic. The screen, for example, is made of glass, which suggests a high-quality finish. The model allows you to remove the new Joy-Cons and reattach them to the Switch 2 using magnets.
Real or fake?
NerdNest claims to have received the model several weeks ago. However, he delayed publication time and again to prevent speculation.
It was only this week’s leaks that led to a change in thinking. The model received is the same as the one from the accessory manufacturer Dbrand. Only the color of the Joy-Cons is different.
It will be a while before there is official confirmation. Nintendo is said to be planning to officially present the Switch 2 in January 2025.
What do you think of the Switch 2 and all the leaks? Are you looking forward to the console and maybe even planning to buy one in the new year? Or would you rather wait and see first? Feel free to leave us a comment below.
