Autumn has long since arrived and with it, of course, comes Halloween. The second NBA 2K23 season is all about the “spooky” event and brings all sorts of new content for Maine Career, My Team and more.
Today 2K announced that NBA® 2K23 Season 2 launches this Friday, with new content for My CAREER, My TEAM and The W* that will get fans in the Halloween spirit. Grammy Award-winning and multi-platinum hip-hop artist J. Cole has single-handedly selected 20 songs for Season 2 and introduces new Dreamville apparel.
In NBA 2K23 Season 2, players:inside follow Devin Booker of the Phoenix Suns from the sweltering heat of Phoenix to the Wild West in hopes of capturing gold in the Larry O”Brien Trophy by challenging teams like the Golden State Warriors leading champions. More new content:
- My CAREER now also gets a trick-or-treat night and more spuktacular events in the City and on the G.O.A.T boat, a new court with artwork and a special skeleton outfit as well as a Jabbawockeez outfit as a level 40 reward.
- My TEAM features new rewards, events, moments and the first ever Dark Matter cards. Players:inside can experience new in-game moment agendas and rewards to outstanding real-life NBA performances, plus more weekly content in skill challenges via the Moments Rewind group. There are also more opportunities to complete Trophy Case collections, revamped themes on Season cards and the chance to build an outstanding line-up with the Devin Booker Level 40 reward available as Pink Diamond, showing how he throws, scores and makes the game.
- The W* has brand new challenges, community rewards like Los Angeles Sparks Heroine Shorts and weekly The W online rewards like a Tamika Catchings Coach card, among other things. This year presents NBA 2K23 60 WNBA player jerseys in the City and on the G.O.A.T boat in My CAREER. Season 2 leads off with the 2022 WNBA Championship duo of Las Vegas Aces Chelsea Grey and A”ja Wilson, joined by Minnesota Lynx franchise players Sylvia Fowles and Ariel Powers, and standout Connecticut Sun stars Jonquel Jones and Alyssa Thomas.
- 2K Beats brings a number of exciting new tracks, including a 20-song playlist compiled by DREAMER cover star J. Cole, as well as the opportunity for NBA 2K23 players:inside to hear exclusive debuts of new songs in-game from Dave East, A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie and Connie Diiamond feat. Dame D.O.L.L.A. over the course of this Season, even before they hit streaming platforms. Season 2 also calls on the community to showcase their own talent in the first installment of the NBA 2K Producer Series to a beat by Grammy Award-winning producer BoogzDaBeast. Players can record their own lyrics to the beat as they play through the game and share them on social media.
