Developed by just three people, Battlebit Remastered storms the best-sellers and collects plenty of praise – especially from the Battlefield & CoD corner.

Battlefield, CoD & Co. have a new rival: (Battlebit Remastered) has just been released fresh on Steam and has already claimed a top position in the bestseller lists.

According (SteamDB) to the launch weekend, the 254-player shooter placed 32nd among the most popular games and at the same time ranked second among the top sellers by sales

With this, the three-man indie studio behind the Roblox-style military spectacle is currently making more money than PUBG, Cyberpunk 2077 or Street Fighter 6.

A thoroughly impressive result for the debut of a tiny indie studio!

Applause from all camps

But Battlebit Remastered is not only an economic success: With (89 percent positive Steam reviews) the multiplayer shooter has obviously hit a nerve.

Many fans from the CoD and Battlefield community literally shower the ambitious project with praise:

  1. Warzone fan site ModernWarzone (twittert): “This game was made by only three developers, looks more fun than Battlefield or Call of Duty and is now taking over the internet.”
  2. (Jackfrags) dedicates a video of its own to Battlebit for the release and is pleasantly surprised by features such as complete map destruction, extensive  weapon customisation and the building system. His (Video) is titled: “How is this game even possible?”
  3. And there is even positive feedback from the world of hardcore shooters. Streamer Moidawg, best known for Squad, (writes on Battlebit): “It’s fun as hell. One of the best releases of 2023, and it took an indie developer to make it.”

What makes it so good?

Whoever sees even one screenshot from Battlebit Remastered knows immediately: the graphics are already not it!

But apart from the Minecraft look, the shooter has just about everything a Battlefield fan could want nowadays&nbsp:

  • Big battles from 32vs32 to 127vs127 players.
  • Completely destructible level environment
  • 19 maps and 45 weapons for release
  • Mix of infantry, tanks, helicopters and boats
  • Class system with Assault, Medic, Engineer, Support and Recon
  • Free building system, for example to build cover
  • Simulated bleeding to be bandaged up
  • Approach-based voice chat

Summary from Steam user Kyrain in his review:

Best 15€ I could have ever spent, the battles are chaotic and hectic the houses completely destructible and the community loves it and roast EA and Battleflop, buy it and be happy with Battlebit Remastered, what Battlefield always wanted to be.

He is addressing an additional selling point here: Battlebit currently costs a slim 15 euros at the Early Access price  and runs smoothly even on ridiculously old PCs. A Geforce card of the GTX 600 series from 2012 is quite sufficient for smooth gaming at the highest settings
