By many it is the most anticipated game in a long time. Even the first released images of the upcoming action role-playing game Black Myth impressed both graphically and technically. The only thing the developers from Game Science don’t want to tell us is a release date. But we do get a new 14-minute trailer with never-before-seen gameplay scenes and cutscenes.
The new interpretation of the famous Asian myth, Journey to the West could take the action, open-world and perhaps Soulslike genre to the next level and revolutionise it. Such high hopes are held by some observers, as what has been shown and said so far, in addition to the long development time, is indeed a rarely seen combo. Perhaps last achieved only with Witcher 3.
The new trailer of Black Myth Wu Kong, however, focuses for the first time mainly on the technical aspects of the game. Special attention was paid to ray-tracing and Nvidia DLSS support. It is also clear that the game is being developed in Unreal Engine 5. This is what Next Gen must look like.
The fight sequences, including martial arts techniques, also look very impressive, almost as usual in Black Myth. The monkey king has an unbelievable arsenal of weapons and the corresponding move set at his disposal to beat up numerous opponents inspired by and borrowed from Chinese and Asian mythology. We can’t wait to see how much the makers still have in store, how much we’ll get to see and, above all, when Black Myth will finally see the light of day.
