In Memoriapolis, you build a single city into a huge metropolis – and the game uses an unusual building concept
Similar to Civilization, in Memoriapolis you lead an empire through various ages. However, developer 5PM Studios adds a bit of Cities: Skylines to the mix, which is why you only have to take care of a single city.
You accompany this city over a period of 2,500 years and develop it from a small settlement to what 5PM calls the “capital of all capitals”.

This is how Memoriapolis is supposed to play
Unlike a Civ game, this city-building simulation takes place in real time. You guide your citizens through the millennia and have to take care not only of growth, but also of the needs of the people. If they are dissatisfied with you, you will be deposed
Production and urban development
To get resources, you build production buildings. For the well-being of your citizens, there are buildings in the areas of supply, culture and religion
In Memoriapolis, however, you do not build roads yourself Each building attracts certain types of people, who then settle nearby and create their own districts For example, if you build a lot of military buildings, soldiers will settle there and form a faction with their own needs and desires.
You can, however, influence the districts by placing buildings that belong to a certain faction.
Ages and progress
The game covers the Ancient World, the Middle Ages, the Renaissance and the Age of Enlightenment To advance to the next age, you have to build wonders such as Notre Dame or Windsor Castle. These special buildings naturally cost a lot of resources and time, but also offer unique bonuses for your city
Politics and important events
You not only make decisions about the construction of the city, but also set the political course. However, you must have the aforementioned factions on your side. If you lose their approval, the game will soon be lost
In addition, you will have to deal with events such as uprisings or the outbreak of the plague and choose the right course of action.
Memoriapolis is planning to launch an Early Access phase soon, but there is no specific start date yet. You can register for a test run on Steam, but there is no information on the start or content here either.
