Jurassic World Evolution 2 wants to know: More and more features of the sequel are revealed, and the latest makes for a bigger strategic factor

In the first part of Jurassic World Evolution, the construction of paths, gyrosphere and the park tour was associated with many obstacles and restrictions. In the sequel, this is set to change, making the construction of attractions much more strategic and dangerous – for your guests.

The paths of the attractions cross

In Jurassic World Evolution 2, it will finally be possible to place park tour routing across walkways. In the predecessor, tour planning involved a lot of compromises. With mods it was possible to build crossings, but the developers of Frontiers have recognised the problem and announced said improvement for the second part.

Various Stations throughout the Tour: The Park Tour can also have multiple stations in the second part. Your guests can get on or off at stations accordingly. Another feature are the “photo points”, which you place along the route. According to the developers’ blog post, photos of your guests will be taken at these points, recognisable by a small flash.

Building the track should be no problem: No matter whether it’s a park tour or a gyrosphere – building attractions that lead through the enclosures should be easy to realise. While the construction in the first part involved a lot of fiddling, routes can now be built through fences and the section of the fence is replaced by a gate.

The respective tours can also lead through aviaries where pterosaurs (“flying dinosaurs”) await you. It should be possible to place different entrances and exits. Thus, several tours can lead through the enclosure.

And in the future, there will not only be more variety in the enclosures due to your guests – the behaviour and breeding of the dinos will also change in the future.

While we’re on the subject of different tours: According to Frontiers, it should be possible to split tours. Whether this means switches is currently unknown. Turnouts themselves would provide more variety and guests could start from one station. While some of the guests are driven to the herbivores, another group enjoys carnivores at close range.

How dinosaurs become a danger

If your tour leads you through the enclosure of an aggressive carnivore, there is a great danger that it will attack the gyrosphere or jeeps. This was already possible in the first part, but rather led to a shrug of the shoulders with two subsequent mouse clicks: select Ranger Team, cancel the emergency shutdown of the ride, and the guests streamed into the ride again.

Whether a T-Rex will even tear open the roof of a jeep and eat the guests remains to be seen. It would at least be a desirable feature. We have included the first gameplay of Jurassic World Evolution 2 for you below.
