Sony says that the PS5 Pro has not sold worse despite its price.

Sony President Hiroki Totoki stated in the company’s latest financial report that the price of the PS5 Pro has not negatively affected sales.

Why This Matters:The PS5 Pro’s steep price tag has drawn backlash from many gamers on forums and Reddit. Despite this, the console seems to be widely accepted by gamers in general.

In detail: Hiroki Totoki is the COO and CFO of Sony and according to him, the PS5 Pro is aimed specifically at “hardcore gamers”.

“Hardcore users are the target audience for this hardware. Regarding pricing, many people have made different comments, but I don’t think the PS5 Pro pricing has had a negative impact.”

In this country, the PS5 Pro costs 800 euros. Currently, we are not out of stock and readily available. The PS5 had to contend with availability issues at its launch, but that was also due to the global chip shortage of 2020.

The availability of the PS5 Pro is also currently making life more difficult for scalpers – people who bought PS5 Pro consoles to resell them for higher prices.

Are you surprised that the price of the PS5 Pro probably didn’t have a negative impact on sales?

Are you going to get the console or maybe you already have it? If so, are you satisfied with your purchase so far? Or is the console definitely too expensive for you? Let us know what you think in the comments!
