In the Christmas month, there”s one thing above all on Netflix: Christmas films. But especially video game fans can look forward to exciting series!
Ho, ho, ho! Father Christmas has pulled some new films and series out of the bag for Netflix. Conceited as he is, some of them are about him – or at least about his favourite time of the year. But to all you Christmas grumpies out there: don”t worry, not everything is about Christmas.

Highlights on Netflix in December 2022
Dragon Age: Absolution
The Dragon Age game series has enjoyed great popularity for several years now, and now the world created by BioWare is also making it to the screens as an animated series. In six parts, you follow a group of adventurers in search of a magical artefact.
Video game fans can look forward to some familiar places and races: Qunari, elves and humans are definitely in the game, but the mage, warrior and rogue classes will also be represented in Absolution. The setting is the mage empire of Tevinter, which you can also explore in the upcoming Dragon Age: Dreadwolf. If the trailer above wasn”t enough for you, don”t worry: Here you can find the reveal video from June.
The Witcher: Blood Origin
But if you”d rather avoid animated series, don”t worry. The new Witcher series will also be released on 25 December, so you can enter the dark fantasy world with a cup of mulled wine right after Christmas Eve.
The series takes place almost 1200 years before the events of the books or the Netflix series with Henry Cavill and tells the origins of the infamous Witcher. After the conjuncture of the spheres, the land once peacefully inhabited by elves was full of monsters and dangers – the witches were supposed to help out.
In addition to the animated film Nightmare of the Wolf and the first Witcher series, Blood Origin is now the third Netflix adaptation of the universe.
