Highlight of the week: Songs of Silence
(Genre:Strategy-Release:June 4, 2024 (Early Access)-Developer:Chimera Entertainment)
Songs of Silenceis a turn-based strategy game with real-time battles from Munich-based developer Chimera Entertainment. You build your cities on a world map, move your armies and have them start sieges or prepare ambushes. You then fight the battles against the AI opponents in real time.
What at first sounds like a fantasy total war actually has its very own rules. In the battles, which only last a few minutes (as in the video above), you mainly watch. You only determine your formation before the battle begins and trigger the special abilities of your units during the battle
Another special feature of Songs of Silence is the card system. All your actions, such as the aforementioned special abilities, recruiting new units and expanding your cities, work via playable cards that are dependent on your leaders.
