This week finally sees the release of the hotly anticipated Diablo 4 – but what other exciting releases are there on Steam and Co.

Whoever releases a new game these days must be very brave or have a very specific target group, because with Diablo 4, one of the most eagerly awaited games in years is being released this week. And as we all know, developers prefer to avoid such a release.

So is there nothing to see in our weekly overview of the latest releases on Steam and Co. this time? Or maybe you”ll find one or two insider tips?

Highlight of the week: Diablo 4

(Genre: Action Role-Playing Game – Developer: Blizzard – Release: June 6 at 1am (Battle.Net))

About Diablo 4 we probably don”t need to tell you much more: Although some things like class balance and the ingame shop are annoying, Blizzard has proven here that they still have it, despite all the controversy of the past year.

The charismatic villain Lilith is summoned to the game world of Sanctuary in the latest spin-off and wants to end the eternal conflict between heaven and hell in her very own way. Presentation, plot, atmosphere – all this fits like a glove. And the monster slaughtering, the looting and the constant upgrading of one”s heroes is once again a lot of fun. Just what you expect from a Diablo.

Further releases of the week

Monday, 5 June

(The Elder Scrolls Online: Necrom): The latest expansion for the MMO perennial ESO lets you explore the Telvanni Peninsula and brings a new class in the form of the Arcanist.

(CityDriver): Here the name really says it all – you drive a car (combustion engine or electric) through a city (Munich).

Tuesday, 6 June

(Amnesia: The Bunker): The popular horror series breaks new ground. As a soldier you are trapped in a gloomy World War II bunker and of course not alone. For the first time, you can even use a weapon for self-defence – check out the trailer for that:

Wednesday, June 7

(Espresso Tycoon): In the twentieth Playway simulation, you build a coffee house and can even serve your own drinks in the 3D coffee editor.

(Zombie Soup (Early Access)): Fun top-down shooter with bizarre bosses and absurd shooting irons.

Thursday, June 8

(Riders Republic): Ubisoft”s fun-sports open-world makes the jump to Steam

(Bleak Sword DX): An action roguelike with a truly unique graphic style.

(Harmony: The Fall of Reverie): The latest adventure from the Life-is-Strange makers once again focuses on a complex plot with momentous decisions and a heroine with supernatural skills.

Friday, 9 June

(Greyhill Incident): Finally, another rather exciting sounding horror game: In Greyhill Incident your neighbourhood is infiltrated by aliens. The whole thing is a bit reminiscent of the thriller Signs with Mel Gibson and Joaquin Phoenix.

What are you playing this week? Diablo 4 or maybe one of the other games mentioned? As always, feel free to post it in the comments.
