As we do every Monday, we’re bringing you the week’s most exciting new releases on Steam Last week there was a great hope for real-time strategy, which, however, could only convince in a few points in the test.

This time, the highlight of the week is once again a strategy game that is already causing a lot of anticipation due to itscool ideaalone. In our overview, we show you which other exciting releases are coming to Steam this week

Highlight of the week: Ratten Reich

(Genre: Strategy / Shooter –Developer: Metal Eagle Studio –Release: August 9(Steam / Early Access))

Battlezone,C&C Renegade,Natural Selection:Mixes of strategy game and shooter were popular for a long time, but the last notable game in the genre calledNuclear Dawnis now also 13 years old.

ButRatten Reichnow wants to revive this dead-as-a-mouse genre and bring a breath of fresh air. In this real-time strategy game set in a steampunk and dieselpunk world, you command anthropomorphic armies of rats, mice, cockroaches and lizards that face each other in a merciless war.

The gameplay of Ratten Reich focuses on real-time strategy:&nbspYou must skillfully position your units on the battlefield to gather resources, build defenses and overwhelm your enemies. The game offers a wide range of units, each with specific roles and abilities – from snipers and engineers to flamethrower squads.

What sets Ratten Reich apart, however, is the seamless integration of shooter elements into the strategy mechanics. You can take control of individual units and land the decisive hits yourself – just like in the classics mentioned above.
