Grinding Gear Games delivers numerous bug fixes and improvements with Path of Exile 2 Update 0.1.0f, as well as adjustments to criticized mechanics.

Grinding Gear Games has released the first update for Path of Exile 2 in 2025: Version 0.1.0f fixes a number of bugs, including some particularly annoying issues such as crashes that plagued players on various platforms.

But what else is in the patch? We have the complete overview for you.

The most important changes in Path of Exile Patch 0.1.0f

  1. Crash fixes

    • The update fixes several crashes that occurred on both the PlayStation 5 and when using certain game mechanics such as the Infernalist’s Demon Form and Fiery Death Support.
    • Gameplay and Mechanic Bug Fixes

      • An especially frustrating bug where the Delirium Mist would pause before players even interacted with the mechanic has been fixed. In addition, the nebula now pauses for 10 seconds when you open a Strongbox (previously only 5 seconds).
      • Errors such as Zalmarath’s invisible knife attacks or the problem that Ritual Altar mechanics were not triggered are a thing of the past.
      • The boss Xesht, We That Are One, known for endlessly throwing hands, has also been mitigated.
      • Rolling Slam, an ability whose aftershocks did not deal damage, has been fixed. If you built your builds around this mechanic, you can now use it effectively again.

    • Other Improvements

      • Issues with health, energy, and mana shields changing unexpectedly when equipping items have been corrected.
      • The quest Mad Wolf of Ogham could previously be broken if you entered the second act in an alternative way – this has also been fixed.

The 0.1.0f update for Path of Exile 2 shows that Grinding Gear Games continues to work hard to improve the game and the early access phase – even though there are still many technical issues, mainly related to the Windows 11 Update 24H2.

Path of Exile 2 0.1.0f – Patch Notes

  • Fixed a bug where rare monsters could sustain the Delirium Mist for a longer period of time, even before touching the mirror of delirium. This could result in no monsters appearing when opening a mirror or the mist not expanding fully. Additionally, opening a box will now halt the delirium fog for 10 seconds (up from 5). Note that regardless of the delirium fog, further changes will be made to the boxes in a future patch to make them less terrible.
  • Fixed a bug that caused increased minor passive skill effect in the radius on gems with time decay to be affected by increases and decreases to the modifier effect, such as the ornate unique gem.
  • Fixed a bug that caused a player’s current health, energy shield, mana, overheal, or overshield to also increase when they changed their maximum health, energy shield, or mana (e.g. by equipping or unequipping items).
  • Fixed a bug that caused hidden health to be erased from health pools when maximum health changed (e.g. leveling up or changing weapons).
  • Fixed a bug that caused the projectiles from Zalmarath, the Colossus’s knife attack, to be incorrectly positioned above the player.
  • Fixed an issue where Rolling Slam’s Aftershocks were not doing damage.
  • Fixed an issue where Ritual Altars could sometimes not be activated.
  • Fixed a bug that could cause Xesht, We Who Are One to throw hands endlessly.
  • Fixed a bug that could cause the quest “The Angry Wolf of Ogham” to be incomplete if you reached Act 2 by a means other than talking to the hooded figure.
  • Fixed a bug where many modifiers from the Progenitor tablet were not displayed when hovering over cards in the Radius of the locked tower.
  • Fixed a client crash that could occur after entering demon form during the fight against Zarokh the Temporal.
  • A client crash that could occur with the support of Fiery Death in group play has been fixed.
  • A client crash that could occur on PlayStation 5 has been fixed.
