You can’t complain about a lull in new Pokémon games by any means. Just a month after the release of Pokémon Legends: Arceus, The Pokémon Company and Nintendo have announced a new generation. The ninth in the main game series! Pokémon Scarlet & Violet is scheduled for release later this year for the Nintendo Switch!

A lot of new things, but also a lot of familiar things in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet

As part of the Pokémon Presents event, it happened. The ninth generation of the Pokémon RPG is to include the two new games Scarlet and Violet or Crimson and Purple. Developer GameFreak also presents a first announcement trailer at the same time, where you can already see a handful of new pocket monsters in action. In addition, Nintendo presents us, as always, with a colourful, extremely cute and beautifully animated game world full of hustle and bustle, which this time is inspired by Spain.

Technically, Pokémon Scarlet & Violet doesn’t make the very best, graphically most up-to-date impression. But you should be used to that by now, and after all, it’s much more about the new content and Pokémon in this unrestricted open world full of varied landscapes. The new starter Pokémon this time are the cat-like Felori of the plant type, the fire-type crocodile Krokel and Kwaks, the water-type duck.

Making a choice between these cuddly beasts will be incredibly difficult here, as always! But there are still dozens of new Pokémon waiting to be defeated and caught in battle. However, it seems that the focus here will be more on catching and collecting. There is no official release date yet, but we expect Pokémon Scarlet & Violet to be released at the end of the year so as not to undermine the success and launch of Pokémon Legends: Arceus.
