Nvidia is set to officially announce the Geforce RTX 5080 graphics card in a few days. It should be available from January 21.
Nvidia’s new generation of RTX 5000 graphics cards is eagerly awaited. However, important details of the RTX 5080 and its siblings are not yet known.
The hardware-focused IT magazine HKEPC from Hong Kong is now said to have revealed the release dates of the graphics card. However, the article on the HKEPC website is marked as a rumor.
In detail:
- Nvidia is scheduled to present the RTX 5080 graphics card as early as January 6, 2025.
- The card will be available in stores from January 21.
The announcement coincides with the start of CES 2015 in Las Vegas. Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang is scheduled to open the trade show on January 6, 2025. The keynote address will be streamed live on the official YouTube channel at 6:30 p.m. local time, which is 3:30 a.m. our time.
In the past, Nvidia has introduced new graphics cards during the event. However, in recent years, it has never announced a new generation.
HKEPC reports that Nvidia’s RTX 5080, RTX 5090 and RTX 5090 D graphics cards may not be available at the same time.
With a release on January 21, 2025, Nvidia’s new graphics card would be released just days after Intel’s Arc B570.
AMD is also planning to release new graphics cards at the end of January. The focus here is on the Radeon RX 9070 XT and RX 9070 graphics cards.
