MrBeast is in trouble with a delivery service after he publicly criticised their products. Because he has contracts with the company, which is now suing.

MrBeast is facing a multi-million dollar lawsuit for criticising burgers named after him. The company that distributes the “Mr Beast Burger” believes the world-famous YouTube star breached his contract by doing so.

What’s behind the lawsuit

2020, MrBeast partnered with Virtual Dining Concepts, a company that distributes products like the MrBeast burger (exclusively in the US at this point). Although these burgers are very popular among his fans, there are also an increasing number of complaints, for example because the patties were not properly cooked or other quality defects occurred.

MrBeast made such complaints public and sued VDC itself for allegedly not taking the problems seriously. Now VDC is responding with a lawsuit of its own, saying the YouTuber violated the contract with his public responses and was trying to secure a more lucrative deal.

In a post that has since been deleted, MrBeast (according to Kotaku) wrote about the collaboration:

If I could shut it down, sadly I would have done so a long time ago. When you’re young, sometimes you sign stupid deals.

This bothers the company, which is now seeking $100 million from MrBeast in court. This and similar tweets had damaged VDC’s reputation, and the YouTuber’s team had also blocked promotions of the burgers. The customer complaints were within the normal range that occurs with such large quantities of products.

It is still unclear what will happen next and what the chances are that MrBeast will have to pay the required fine – but the publicity-loving YouTuber is guaranteed to speak out as soon as his lawyers give the green light.
