Need for Speed: Most Wanted is one of the most popular parts of the racing game series. Now an actress leaked a remake.
This could be big: Actress Simone Bailly, who worked as a voice actress for Need for Speed: Most Wanted tweeted about a remake of the 2005 racing game. The tweet has since been deleted, but you know the internet.
A screenshot of the statement appeared on ResetEra, which seems quite authentic and even gives the release date. Bailly wrote:
A] Need for Speed: Most Wanted remake will be released in 2024. Like and comment if you want Cross (Dean McKenzie) and his partner (Simone Bailly) to hunt down the Most Wanted.

Bailly also tagged the Twitter accounts of publisher EA and developer Criterion and created various hashtags on the topic. She also liked user comments responding to the tweet, which was later deleted.
Most Wanted had already received a reboot in 2012, but it was very different from the 2005 original except for the basic premise!
What happened there?
The tweet reads like a classic PR campaign to generate attention for a product. However, since there is no official announcement and the tweet has been deleted, a mistake is possible. So view the news with an appropriate amount of caution.
Furthermore, there is the suspicion that the publisher is trying to test the mood among fans. So EA could be dipping a toe in the water and probing whether a remake might be worthwhile. Given the stated release date in more or less a year, however, the tweet would probably come a bit late if production has already started.
As of now, we’ll just have to wait and see if an official announcement is still to come. A remake of Need for Speed: Most Wanted would probably be a dream for many fans. For the GlobalESportNews editorial team, it is also one of the best parts of the long-lasting racing game series. You can check out our ranking above.
What do you think? Would you celebrate a remake of NfS Most Wanted? Do you prefer to stick with originals or, in this case, the 2012 reboot? Feel free to post your opinions in the comments.
