The 2019 release Outer Wilds, incidentally not to be confused with The Outer Worlds despite a certain similarity in name, is getting a major expansion later this year called Echoes of the Eye. Publisher Annapurna Interactive and developer Mobius Digital announced this in a trailer.

After you had to watch a sun die over and over again in Outer Wilds due to a time loop, Echoes of the Eye will now illuminate the darkest secrets of the game world. The Hearthian space programme has discovered an anomaly that cannot be assigned to any known location. The developers are not revealing much more at this point.

Echoes of the Eye is to be the first and only expansion for Outer Wilds. It won’t take long until the release: The DLC will be released on 28 September for the PC (via Steam and Epic Games Store), PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
