The developers of Palworld are working on an update to stop cheaters. If that doesn’t work, things could get really uncomfortable later this year

Palworld was only released a few days ago, but there are already some cheaters running around on the official servers. If this doesn’t improve soon, this year’s plans for the game could suffer. The developers of the Steam phenomenon are now speaking out.

New patch announced

On X (formerly Twitter), the creators confirm the cheaters spotted on the official servers of Palworld. We will apply a patch as soon as it is ready. But it is currently still difficult to completely prevent cheating right away.

The problem shouldn’t last too long at best, because if the developers stick to their roadmap 2024 Roadmap 2024 there will probably be even more annoying cheater encounters. While Palworld currently only offers PvE and therefore no battles between players, PvP is set to appear later this year. This would of course be a feast for cheaters, while honest players will become even more frustrated.

Fans don’t understand cheaters

Among the comments of the post, there is no understanding for cheaters. Without PvP and with the ability to customize your own servers if you wish, the reason is not clear to many users. So writes DPJ:

I really don’t understand why you should cheat in this game. Considering you can customize your own settings to the point where the game is more than easy, why would you cheat at all? Unless it’s one of those “look at me, I can fly across the map” things on official servers…

GameRiot is surprised at how quickly cheaters have taken to Palworld: People are already cheating. How incredibly sad.

It is still unclear when the update can be expected. At the same time, the developers are working on bringing the Game Pass version of Palworld up to scratch.

For those who still play Palworld on the Xbox or via the Microsoft Store, there is at least a little bit of good news: A freshly released update has been dedicated to the game crashes and is intended to provide more stability. Although this is far from closing the gap between the Steam and Microsoft versions, it is still a step in the right direction.
