Some changes in LS22 weren’t announced in a big way by Patch 1.2, yet they can enrich your country life and make it easier.

Normally you would think that release notes are trustworthy. That they would never lie to you or hide anything. Wrong thought! Farming Simulator 22, of all things, is holding out on us some changes that are extremely useful for our farming careers to boot.

So, enough of the theatrics, let’s get serious: Especially in animal breeding and field work, some comfort features found their way into the game with patch 1.2 that were not mentioned in the official release notes. We have therefore collected them for you and listed them below.

These features are new to the game since patch 1.2

New Farmhouse

You can now purchase a new farmhouse to take a comfortable nap in after exhausting work in the fields. However, you will have to invest 20,000 euros and you can only own one farmhouse per farm. By the way: If you want to sleep anywhere, we recommend the mod Sleep Anywhere, which you can find in our mod overview

Animal husbandry

There is also a new feature in the area of animal breeding since patch 1.2: Horses can now breed after 22 months, but they have to be in good health to do so. This means that their health must be good and they must be allowed to enjoy a daily ride.

If you take good care of your horses, you may soon enjoy foals.

Fieldwork

This section contains most of the changes since patch 1.2 that did not appear in the release notes. Because nothing helps you in a simulator as much as more information that is integrated into the game in a visually appealing way.

  • Weeds: As beautiful as some plants may be to look at, the unwanted green stuff has no place in your field. Until now, however, it was never quite clear how bad the situation is on each field. If you activate the soil condition filter on the map, you will now see a colour gradation depending on the weed situation – from light green to brown.
From now on you will see a finer colour gradation of the different weed levels in your fields in the overview.

  • Rolling and Mulching: Two other new pieces of info in the soil condition filter is which fields need to be rolled or mulched. Rolling and mulching will give you a yield bonus of 5 percent on your next harvest, so it is absolutely recommended.
  • Stones: Rock’n’roll belongs on your ears, not in the field. Because the unloved stones not only bore into the farmer’s thin sole, but in the worst case they also damage your machines. The number of stones plaguing your field is also shown in colour gradations, from yellow to orange to an alarming red.
  • Yield bonus in the live view: If you treat your field well, roll it, mulch it and also do your best with fertiliser, you can accumulate a good yield bonus for the next harvest. So that you know at a glance what percentage of additional crops you can expect, the info overlay in the lower right corner of the screen shows you since patch 1.2 how high the bonus of the field is.
    • A look at the overlay in the bottom right corner shows you how high your yield bonus is since patch 1.2.
