Path of Exile 2: Patch 0.1.1 is coming this week and we now know what’s in it

While there are no full patch notes yet, the developers are giving us an overview of the update.

Path of Exile 2 has been available in early access for about a month and is, of course, still far from finished. That’s why another update is due to be released later this week, bringing important improvements and fulfilling player requests. While there is no exact release date or complete patch notes yet, the developers have revealed many exciting details in a video.

What will patch 0.1.1 bring?

In the upcoming patch, the developers want to focus on changes that can be implemented quickly and do not require a fundamental overhaul of the economy, for example.

Game Director Jonathan Rogers points out that there are, of course, issues that the next patch cannot address. But that doesn’t mean that they are not aware of them. They will just be addressed at a later date.

In the video above, Rogers explains all the planned content for patch 0.1.1. We summarize the most important changes for you:

Endgame

  • The number of enemies, chests and loot such as artifacts in the Atlas maps will be adjusted. They should now feel more rewarding.
  • There are four new tower maps so that you don’t have to keep crossing the same tower. The existing map has also been revised.
  • There are now more maps with bosses. You should encounter a boss on every fourth map. With a new tablet, you can also add a boss yourself.
  • Many effects on the ground, such as attacks by certain monsters, were often impossible to see. Various measures are being taken to make these more visible.

Leagues

  • Fixed a bug that caused Delirium monsters to not spawn.
  • Increased the number of simulacra dropped by 20 percent.
  • Increased the frequency of omens appearing in the ritual tribute window during Ritual.
  • Expedition has improved the rarity of items from the shop.

Pinnacle

  • Citadel now spawns closer to the center of the atlas and has a new visual effect to make it easier to see in the Mist of War.
  • Added a max of 6 respawns for the Arbiter of Ash.
  • The boss in the Faradun Citadel is easier to defeat.

Balance

  • Many Uniques are being made noticeably stronger, making them fun to play with at low levels.
  • Sockelbare Items wie Runen lassen sich jetzt durch andere Sockelbare Items ersetzen.
  • Einige Gegner werden abgeschwächt, wenn sie sich unverhältnismäßig stark oder unfair anfühlten.

Weiteres

  • Item filters, which previously only PC players could use, will also be made available to console players.
