The system requirements for Path of Exile 2 have been published on Steam. The minimum configuration ensures that you can also play the action RPG on old computers – if you have enough storage space.

This year, December 6 is not only St. Nicholas Day, but also the start date for the early access phase of Path of Exile 2. This should have started about a week ago, but problems with the server infrastructure put a spoke in the wheel of these plans. The postponement of Path of Exile 2 was therefore unavoidable.

In the meantime, developer Grinding Gear Games has not only announced the US price for early access ($30), but has also updated the official Steam page with the PC system requirements.

The good news first: Of course, Path of Exile 2 has higher requirements than its now eleven-year-old predecessor, but especially in the minimum specification, these are extremely simple.

  • The game should run even with an AMD Radeon RX 470 or an Nvidia Geforce GTX 960, which are now eight and almost ten years old respectively.
  • In addition to Nvidia and AMD graphics cards, the third GPU manufacturer is also taken into account. Models from the Intel Arc series can be found in both the minimum and recommended configurations.

Minimum requirements for Path of Exile 2

    • Processor: Intel Core i7-7700 / AMD Ryzen 5 2500X
    • Memory: 8 GB
    • Graphics card: Nvidia Geforce GTX 960 / AMD Radeon RX 470 / Intel Arc A380
    • Storage space: 100 GByte

Recommended Specs for Path of Exile 2

    • Processor: Intel Core i7-10500 / AMD Ryzen 5 3700X
    • Memory: 16 GByte
    • Graphics card: Nvidia Geforce RTX 2060 / AMD Radeon RX 5600XT / Intel Arc A770
    • Storage space: 100 GByte (SSD recommended)

The Steam website does not state which graphics settings are included in the recommended configuration. However, Path of Exile 2 is not immune to a common problem of modern game installations: 100 GB of free storage space is required. In this case, an SSD is not mandatory, but only recommended.
