In July, there are of course new games in the PC Game Pass again. This month, you can experience Far Cry 5 and one or two other indie games, among others.
While a kind of summer slump in new releases is slowly setting in, PC Game Pass continues as it does every month. In other words, in July there are once again new games that expand the paid subscription.
Since Microsoft is always good for surprises, the publisher only presents a part of the new releases in July 2022 at the beginning of the month. As more games emerge, we”ll update this article.

Far Cry 5
(Genre: First-person shooter – Developer: Ubisoft Montreal – Release: Mar 27, 2018 – In Game Pass from: July 1, 2022)
Ubisoft has acquired a taste for Game Pass: After Assassin”s Creed: Origins and For Honor, the next game in the publisher”s catalogue is Far Cry 5. The fifth major part of the first-person shooter series takes you to the fictional Hope County in the US state of Montana. Once there, you have to defend yourself against a cult and its leader, Joseph Seed, who oppresses the local population with his extreme religious views.
In terms of gameplay, the series remains true to itself despite the change of scenery. You conquer various outposts either alone, with AI companions or with a co-op comrade, complete main and side missions, improve your weapons and regularly have to deal with followers of Seed”s cult. The open game world is divided into three large sections that you can explore freely and independently of each other.
Yakuza 0
(Genre: Action – Developer: Sega – Release: 12 March 2015 – In Game Pass from: 7 July 2022)
Also from now on, PC Game Pass subscribers can slip into the designer suits of young Japanese mafia members who rule the underworld of the Tokyo metropolis in Yakuza 0. In addition to action-packed battles, countless mini-games await in the open world, such as a night of dancing at the disco.
Road 96
(Genre: Adventure – Developer: DigixArt – Release: August 16, 2021 – In Game Pass from: July 7, 2022)
From 7 July, PC Game Pass subscribers can take a leisurely road trip on Road 96. You will meet a wide variety of characters while hitchhiking. Due to the procedural generation, no two journeys will be the same, as our (Test) also notes!
House Flipper
(Genre: Simulation – Developers: Frozen District, Empyrean, Ultimate Games – Release: May 17, 2018 – In Game Pass as of: now)
From now on, the curious renovation simulation House Flipper is available to all subscribers of the PC Game Pass. You take over dilapidated hovels, swing the sledgehammer, let the paint roller spin and transform the sheds into dream houses that make the cash register ring.
