In February 2022, there are once again many new exciting games in Microsoft’s PC Game Pass – including with Total War: Warhammer 3 a potential strategy hit directly on its release.
As we do every month, we’re highlighting all the games we know you’ll soon be able to play as part of the subscription service. Microsoft will be releasing more games throughout the month, which we will of course add to this article as usual.
New in Game Pass in February 2022
Defeat
(Genre: Building Simulation – Developer: Spiderling Studios – Release: Feb 18, 2020 – New in Game Pass from: Feb 10, 2022)
In Besiege you build your own siege engines and test the limits of physics – in a tranquil medieval setting. You can choose between the 54 levels of the single-player campaign, multiplayer against your friends or the free sandbox map editor.
Besiege became an overnight hit on its Steam release in 2020 – and now enjoys 95 per cent positive reviews with nearly 40,000 ratings.
Telling Lies
(Genre: Adventure – Developer: Sam Barlow – Release: August 23, 2019 – In Game Pass from: February 3, 2022)
The era of FMV adventures – that is, story games filmed with real actors – has actually been over since the 90s. But developer Sam Barlow has brought the genre back gloriously with Her Story and Telling Lies. In Telling Lies, you gradually explore a mystery by sifting through secretly recorded video chats to tie the threads together.
Dreamscaper
(Genre: Action-Roguelike – Developer: Afterburner Studios – Release: August 5, 2021 – In Game Pass from: February 3, 2022)
Dreamscaper is a surreal action roguelike with an exciting twist: During the day, you experience everyday life in the small town of Redhaven and build relationships with the other residents, who grant you bonuses in battles.
Once your character goes to bed, he enters an eerie nightmare world where he must face nasty monsters and bosses that embody his fears of isolation, loss, negativity and more.

Edge of Eternity
(Genre: JRPG – Developer: Midgar Studio – Release: 8 June 2021 – In Game Pass from: 10 February 2022)
Originating from France, Edge of Eternity is a role-playing game heavily inspired by classic JRPGs like the Final Fantasy series for story, presentation and gameplay mechanics.
In a fantasy sci-fi setting, you experience the story of siblings Daryon and Selene, who go on a quest to find a cure for a plague released by enemy invaders. The battles take place in the classic turn-based manner.
Total War: Warhammer 3
(Genre: Strategy – Developer: Creative Assembly – Release: Feb 17, 2021 – In Game Pass from: Feb 17, 2022)
The latest Total War is coming out right at release as part of the PC Game Pass and may well be the most exciting game for many GlobalESportNews readers.
The third and presumably last part of the TW: Warhammer series relies on the well-known Total War gameplay: On a huge world map you build up your cities, raise armies from the ground and take enemy fortresses with them in sometimes really monumental real-time battles. Depending on the faction and leader you choose, you will experience a different story and have different goals.

Infernax: 2D action role-playing game where you are sent into a magic-infested world as a knight (in Game Pass from February 14)
