You now have the opportunity to play Payday 3 for free shortly before release. We summarise all the information about the Open Beta.

Payday 3 will be released this month, but shortly before the release the servers are supposed to get really sweaty. Development studio Starbreeze wants to achieve this with another beta – this time also playable for all

All info about the Open Beta

When does it start? This weekend you can let your fingers grow long for three days, from 8 to 11 September to be exact.

What will the beta offer? The four well-known criminals with the clown masks will be playable: Dallas, Hoxton, Chains and Wolf. With them you can let off steam in the No Rest for the Wicked bank heist . Whether you rob the bank quietly and inconspicuously or shoot around with assault rifles is up to you. You can also test all difficulty levels and improve up to level 22 – the weapon limit is level 8.

But what you should know: The Open Beta is not only meant to convince you of the game, but also to put as much strain as possible on the servers – so if they go down over the weekend, that doesn’t necessarily say anything about the final game. Or in the words of the developers: This is the only time we’re asking you to help destroy our stuff, so please take the opportunity!

How can I join the beta? Since it’s an open beta, you don’t have to sign up anywhere. You can easily get an account on the (Steam page of Payday 3) once the beta has started. Xbox players can get to the game via the (Xbox Insider Hub App

The PC system requirements for Payday 3 are also already known, but there was quickly anger from the community: Payday 3 requires a constant internet connection, which some fans do not approve of at all.

On September 21 Payday 3 will be released on PC, Xbox Series X/S and Playstation 5. Game Pass users will be able to play right at the release at no additional cost.

Will you take a look at the Open Beta or would you rather wait for the full release? Are you looking forward to the long awaited sequel or do you not think that part 3 can beat its predecessor anyway? Are you still playing Payday 2 regularly? Drop us a line in the comments, we’re looking forward to it!
