In case you’re wondering how Liam Hemsworth is doing as the new Geralt, the actor himself is now giving us a taste of it. Spoiler: He has no shortage of muscles
Henry Cavill is out of The Witcher, but that’s not the end of the Netflix series. Quite the opposite: For season 4, Liam Hemsworth is slipping into the Witcher’s armor and many fans are naturally wondering what the new Geralt will ultimately look like.
A real
photo of Liam Hemsworth as Geralt is not available at the moment, but we do have a taste of it. The 34-year-old actor has shared a new picture from the gym on Instagram which definitely shows Hemsworth preparing for the role.
Liam Hemsworth pumps himself up for Geralt
According to the latest information (via Productionlist), filming of The Witcher: Season 4 began on April 8, 2024, with the new episodes likely to be released on Netflix in late 2025 to early/mid-2026.
One thing is certain: Liam Hemsworth definitely has nothing to hide from Henry Cavill. The Australian actor (and brother of Thor actor Chris Hemsworth) has bulked up and put on muscle mass.

But maybe do yourselves a favor and don’t take a look at the comments. Here people are vehemently throwing around wild (and sometimes personal) insults against Hemsworth, who don’t really want to come to terms with Cavill’s exit and are shooting directly against the Netflix series.
Other social media users are also voicing their support for Hemsworth and emphasizing that critics shouldn’t take out their frustrations on an actor who has nothing to do with Netflix and Cavill’s decisions. Instead, they advise waiting until there’s something solid to see before forming an opinion of Liam Hemsworth as Geralt.
What else is happening around The Witcher?
By the way: The cast for season 4 of The Witcher is getting bigger and bigger. Among others Lawrence Fishburne (The Matrix, John Wick) and Sharlto Copley (District 9, Monkey Man), have been confirmed for the upcoming season.
What are your hopes and expectations for the fourth season and also Liam Hemsworth in the role of Geralt? Will you give the Netflix series a chance without Henry Cavill or have you already given up on it? Let us know in the comments!
