The PS5 Pro will be released in November 2024. At launch, Sony promised that several previously released titles would receive a patch that would make them look better and run faster.

The following is a list of all PS5 Pro Enhanced titles, which we are constantly adding to:

  • Alan Wake 2
  • Assassin’s Creed: Shadows
  • Demon’s Souls
  • Dragon Age: the Veilguard
  • Dragon’s Dogma 2
  • F1 24
  • Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth
  • Gran Turismo 7
  • Hogwarts Legacy
  • Horizon Forbidden West
  • Marvel’s Spider-Man 2
  • Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater

Will the Enhanced patch cost anything? No, all games will get the update for free.

How many enhanced titles will be available for the PS5 Pro? Sony stated that it wants to provide around 50 games with a subsequent patch for the launch of the mid-gen console. Only time will tell how many will be available in the end.

What does PS5 Pro Enhanced Games mean?

In short, the games will get an enhanced patch, technically upgraded. In detail, this means:

  • PS5 Pro Ray-tracing effects: Games will get ray tracing, or its use will be improved if the game already had ray tracing on the PS5.
  • Higher frame rate: Compared to the PS5, the frame rate of the Pro console will be increased from 30 to 60 or from 60 to 120, or it will switch to a variable hertz rate.
  • Higher dynamic resolution: For games with dynamic resolution, the target resolution to be achieved must be increased by the developer.
  • Higher fixed resolution: Full HD titles that run in 4K on the PS5 Pro will not suffer any loss of frame rate.

Caution, danger of confusion: Game Boost

In addition to Enhanced Games, there will also be a feature called Game Boost. However, the two are not the same, even if the name might suggest it.

Game Boost optimizes games with dynamic frame rates and resolutions.

  • All 8,500 backwards-compatible PS4 and PS5 titles benefit from Game Boost.
  • A dedicated patch is not required for this

How much better enhanced games and Game Boost actually look in the end remains to be seen.
