Various hints suggest that we will soon see a (hopefully final) Reveal of Skull & Bones. Not least of which is the recently released ESRB rating and another piece of inside information pointing to this.
After a five-year wait, the crime thriller surrounding the nautical adventure Skull & Bones finally seems to be entering its final act. After a Brazilian age rating for the title recently surfaced, the American Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB) is now following suit. An international age rating indicates that the game is in the final phase of its production and is thus gradually ready for release. Various insider sources and the leaked gameplay video harden this suspicion.
One of those insiders is Tom Henderson, who rarely misses the mark with his guesses on current developments. He talks in a tweet about a re-reveal of Skull & Bones already being scheduled for the beginning of July. With this, Ubisoft would take another step towards the release. Whether we can expect a release date during this reveal, however, is questionable. The publisher’s silence indicates that they do not want to publish any hasty information for the time being.
They seem to have learned from the mistakes of the past five years. Nevertheless, Ubisoft seems to want to stick to its big announcement: Skull & Bones could really be released between October 2022 and March 2023.
