Shortly before the expected announcement of the RTX 5080, images of a custom GPU from MSI have been posted online, confirming further specs.
CES 2025 is getting closer and closer – and with it, the presentation of new Nvidia graphics cards. In the Chinese Chiphell forum , packaging of the Geforce RTX 5080 has now appeared for the first time, confirming many leaks from the past few weeks with almost all the relevant specs.
The model shown is the custom GPU MSI Geforce RTX 5080 Gaming Trio OC, which, together with other variants of the RTX 5080, is likely to be the first to appear from the new graphics card generation.
- The custom design itself has three 100-millimeter axial fans to provide the appropriate cooling.
- While the full length of the graphics card cannot be seen from the product images, it is conceivable that the custom model from MSI will be relatively thin. Based on the bezel, it can be seen that less than three slots are needed.
With regard to memory, the product packaging of the RTX 5080 lists the expected 16 GB of GDDR7 memory, which is connected via a 256-bit interface.
In addition, at least according to this MSI leak, the connectors of the new Blackwell graphics card are fixed. Accordingly, three DisplayPort and one HDMI sockets can be found on the RTX 5080, but the specific specification is not mentioned. DP 2.1a and HDMI 2.1 are likely here.
For classification purposes, you will find all the relevant data for the RTX 5080 compared to the RTX 4080 in the following table:

Until we can actually find out all the technical data of the Geforce RTX 5080, we don’t have to wait much longer: On the night of January 6th to 7th at 3:30 a.m. German time, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang will officially open CES 2025 with a keynote speech. In addition to the RTX 5080, the RTX 5090 and (of course) AI are likely to be a major topic.
