The clock rates were also allegedly leaked.

AMD has had great success with both the Ryzen 7 5800X3D and the subsequent Ryzen 7 7800X3D. So it’s no wonder that the Ryzen 7 9800X3D in particular is under special scrutiny for the Zen 5 generation and is arguably the most hotly anticipated CPU in the gaming world right now.

The usually well-informed leaker “9550pro” now wants to know when to expect a presentation of the AMD processor: On October 25, 2024, the Ryzen 7 9800X3D is to be presented.

  • The date is no coincidence, as stated in a post in the Chiphell forum , on which the leak is based: the day before, Intel’s recently presented Arrow Lake generation will go on sale.
  • Intel itself has already admitted that the company is lagging behind AMD’s upcoming X3D chips:

The Ryzen 7 9800X3D is scheduled to go on sale just under two weeks later: On November 7, 2024, the new gaming CPU should also be available on the shelves.

    • However, that was it at this point in time when it comes to new AMD releases.
    • The other models in the Ryzen-9000X3D series are still planned for the first quarter of 2025; according to rumors, a presentation is not expected before CES 2025.

Ryzen 7 9800X3D: The clock rates are also supposedly fixed

9550proAt the same time, the Chinese video platform bilibili also had some key data on the AMD processor. The short clip shows an alleged Ryzen 7 9800X3D completing the Cinebench course.

    • The eight-core is said to work with a base clock of 4.7 gigahertz. Under full load, the clock rate on all cores should in turn be up to 5.2 gigahertz.
    • This would give the Ryzen 7 9800X3D a boost clock of around 400 MHz compared to its direct predecessor.

Now we want to know your opinion: is the Ryzen 7 9800X3D your next CPU, or are you set for the next few years in gaming processors? Let us know in the comments!
