Thanks to a major update, the popularity of the sci-fi construction factory game is skyrocketing – and it’s top-rated anyway
The solution to today’s energy problems, which dominate our lives in the 21st century, is within reach in Dyson Sphere Program : The name says it all in this science fiction construction game. You convert entire solar systems into energy suppliers in Factorio style.
A new update not only increases the content of the top-rated title, but also attracts a lot of players. We take you on a journey between the stars. And it’s worth it, as we explained to you some time ago in our Early Access test
The dark fog is gathering
The update named after the new enemy Rise of the Dark Fog
is currently causing a rapid increase in player numbers on Steam, (as a look at Steamdb reveals). Whereas the size of the player base was previously around 5000, more than 24,000 users are currently playing the title on Steam
However, the values are already dropping slightly when looking at all days – it remains to be seen which plateau they will reach.
However, the current daily highs are not a new all-time record either. Shortly after its release, the title already had significantly more players
Top on Steam: Almost everyone (who rate it on Steam) thinks the title is recommendable. A whopping 97 percent of almost 68,000 give it a thumbs up, Vote: Extremely positive
Tip: If you are a Game Pass subscriber, you can try out the Dyson Sphere Program via the Xbox app at no extra cost. This is because the title is part of Microsoft’s offer. Elena has put together more exciting science fiction recommendations for you in this article.
What’s in Rise of the Dark Fog
In addition to various performance optimizations and the correction of a large number of bugs, the update focuses on new, constructible objects and, above all, weapons. These are used in the new optional Combat Mode to defend against the title-giving Dark Fog
What do you think of the Dyson Sphere Program and the new update? Has the latter enhanced the former or do you think the changes are less important for you? And what else would you like to see for building fun around and under the stars? Let us know your thoughts, ideas and opinions in the comments below the article!
