Fans had to wait a long time to be able to play the first-person shooter with the disturbing design. Now the time has come sooner than last thought.

Since 2016, fans of unusual designs have been waiting for the release of Scorn. Time and again, the first-person shooter was postponed. Most recently, it was said that the game would definitely be released on 21 October 2022. Nothing will come of this again! Okay, enough fooling around. Scorn will be released a week earlier – on 14 October 2022.

The developers at Ebb Software have apparently decided that their fans have waited enough. They expressed on Twitter, “You’ve waited enough…. We’re pretty sure the developers think the fans have waited long enough for Scorn. But now it’s really over. Oh, here’s the tweet:

What … is that?

Scorn looks distinctive, even in the genre of horror games. After seeing a trailer, viewers might find it hard to forget what they have seen. Because, no kidding, anyone who already found H.R. Giger’s art disturbing had better squint both eyes at Scorn.

If you’re interested despite our warning, here’s the gameplay of Scorn:

In Scorn, single players slip into the skin of a being that moves through an organic-looking world reminiscent of Giger’s designs for the legendary Alien films. Walls look like muscle tissue, vessels snake everywhere, ossified structures appear like the inside of a giant creature.

All kinds of monsters are fought with organic weapons, although the enemies in the strange environment seem more like natural fauna. Scorn also contains many puzzles where players have to understand the strange game world on their own to find solutions.

The developers classify Scorn not only in the horror genre but also in the adventure genre, as there is a lot of exploration on the agenda. On Steam, Ebb Software explains that players should feel thrown into the world and lost.

What to know about the release?

Scorn will now be released on Steam, GOG, Epic and Game Pass on 14 October 2022. The price is 40 euros for the Standard Edition and 50 for the Deluxe Edition. The Deluxe Edition includes the soundtrack and a digital artbook in addition to the game. There is also a ten per cent discount in the shops at the moment.
