Most of us probably associate FC Barcelona with the round ball that has to go into the square box. But the club also competes on a global level outside the world of soccer, including in League of Legends

The next eSports game could soon be tackled by FCB  and that is the multiplayer shooter Valorant This has not yet been confirmed, but a leak already wants to know more.

High-caliber additions thanks to changes to the league system

For the 2023 season, Valorant developer Riot has made some changes to the Challengers League with the aim of attracting more big names as participants

After the renowned eSports organization SK Gaming confirmed its future participation in Valorant (), FC Barelona is now said to be the next heavyweight on the way.

At least that’s what an insider who works for the eSports club Giants Gaming claims. So we’re talking about classic industry whispers that are apparently currently circulating in Valorant circles

This would certainly fit in with the club’s current plans: As recently as November 9, 2023, FC Barcelona unveiled a (new platform) to create digital entertainment content with Barça Games  Valorant would naturally fit well into the portfolio. More specifically, it will be about the Spanish Challengers League

The coach is also said to have already been decided: According to a (further post) insider, it is said to be Lucas Rojo, who previously worked in the same position for the Spanish organization Case Esports. We should be able to expect more information in the coming days. There is no word on when the official announcement from FC Barcelona will be made
