Survival games are now a dime a dozen and only a few are really good. But when they are successful, like Rust or Valheim, then they are really good. Renown also wants to be classified in the latter category.

In the short trailer we can already see that, apart from survival, the main focus will be on medieval battles and castle conquests. The close combat seems to be very similar to Chivalry or Mordhau, while the castle conquests are reminiscent of Mount and Blade. To avoid kicking your feet sore in the open world, you can get from A to B quickly on horseback.

Renown doesn’t have a set release date yet, but it will probably be released this year or next. You can still get a taste of it by playing the demo on Steam, which is already available.
