Skeleton Crew: Release date for the next Star Wars series has been set and first images have been released

The release date for Skeleton Crew has been announced! There are also the first official pictures of the four children who are the focus of the new Star Wars series

After The Acolyte, the next Star Wars series is already in the starting blocks:Skeleton Crew lands on Disney Plus on December 3, 2024, while official images now give us a concrete impression of the war-of-the-stars adventure.

What’s Skeleton Crew all about

The story:Skeleton Crew revolves around a group of four children who are forced to leave their safe home planet after a mysterious discovery. Lost in space and searching for their home, they make the acquaintance of a Jedi named Jod Na Nawood (Jude Law).

The cast:The new Star Wars series is set between Episode 6 and Episode 7, just like The Mandalorian or Ahsoka. In Skeleton Crew, four young up-and-coming actors take on the roles of the following characters:

  • Ravi Cabot-Conyers as Wim
  • Kyriana Kratter as KB
  • Robert Timothy Smith as Neel
  • Ryan Kiera Armstrong as Fern

In addition, Nick Frost (Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz) lends his voice to the droid SM 33

Skeleton Crew starts on December 3, 2024 on Disney Plus and comprises a total of eight episodes. Season 2 of Andor will then follow in 2025, while work is also underway on a second season for Ahsoka. New Star Wars films will continue from 2026 onwards.
